Scarlett Johansson and Romain Dauriac are no longer a couple. The two officially announced their separation, although not much has been revealed on this subject.
So, Scarlett officially filed the divorce papers on Tuesday. People reported that the actress is seeking the primary physical custody of the couple’s child, Rose Dorothy Dauriac. Rose is only two years old. The magazine also reported that getting the custody might not be simple for the actress, as Romain plans on fighting for his daughter. His lawyer stated that Romain plans on filing a petition in court “to allow him and his daughter to move to France.”
“He believes that her schedule makes it impossible for her to have physical custody — unless she intends to have her children raised by nannies and helpers,” Romain’s lawyer also said. Well, it surely seems that this separation could turn into an ugly divorce battle.
The separation news first emerged a couple of months ago, when it has been claimed that the two have been living apart for months. The pair refused to comment on the rumors. Actually, they also refused to comment on the divorce now that it has officially been filed.
So, Scarlett stated that she will “never be commenting on the dissolution of my marriage.” “As a devoted mother and private person and with complete awareness that my daughter will one day be old enough to read the news about herself, I would only like to say that I will never, ever be commenting on the dissolution of my marriage,” Scarlett’s statement also said. “Out of respect for my desires as a parent and out of respect for all working moms, it is with kindness that I ask other parties involved and the media to do the same. Thank you.”
Scarlett and Romain have been married for two years before announcing their separation. They wedded in a very private ceremony that took place in 2014. This is actually the second divorce for Scarlett, as she has previously been married to Ryan Reynolds. The former couple has no children together. Ryan is now married to Blake Lively.
