Samsung Reveals Change in its Galaxy Note Edge

Looks like Samsung has decided to try something new this time. They released Galaxy Note Edge that has a rounded screen and an interesting design. The giant company came out with this new device that has a curved and independent right edge, which actually has its own behavior and purpose. This means that the right edge contains its own app shortcut, contextual controls and other notifications that you can interact with and enjoy, without being forced to switch that window you are on. Sounds interesting, right?

This new concept comes in handy because if you flick the side display or swipe it, it will turn into one of many widgets, such as Twitter hashtag, Yahoo sports and app-icon shortcuts. If you opt for the Samsung apps, the edge will turn into camera control buttons or menu-bar controls. When your phone is in standby, the edge will display time, date and alarm info. Another interesting thing about this edge is that you will be able to reject calls and see messages from your phone or on social networks. Samsung is working at other interesting things, like follow sports scores in your ticker and stock quotes or maybe continuously tracking your steps.

This new device, will certainly grab your attention, due to its curves and interesting style. Probably you will need some time with it to accommodate and see how often you accidentally mispress the Edge portion of the screen. However, Galaxy Note Edge it feels incredible futuristic and it guarantees you a great control over the phone.

Besides its futuristic look, Galaxy Edge comes with a 5.6-inch screen, a quad-core Snapdragon 805, 3GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel camera, a 3.7 megapixels with an f/1.9 lens front-facing camera, a less capacious 3.000mAh battery and a 64GB option in addition to a 32GB version. In US it will arrive to Sprint, AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile.

Surely, when it comes to big smartphones, we have never had so many options. Samsung, LG, Apple and even OnePlus. Who owns the biggest smartphone market? We don’t know yet, but Note 4, Galaxy Edge and iPhone 6 plus are great phones that needed to be tested.
