The South Korean company, Samsung, disclosed on early Tuesday morning the main features of its new Galaxy Tab 3 device. The tablet boasts great internal components and advanced software features, according to reporters at Eweek.
Samsung pulled out the ace up their sleeve when they announced on early Tuesday morning that the much-awaited Galaxy Tab 3 will soon arrive in stores. The internal and external components of the tablet look rather promising, so Samsung’s tablet could win territory over Apple’s iPads, according to analysts.
Galaxy Tab 3 has been provided with Google’s Android Jelly Bean 4.1. operating system and a 7-inch display that has drawn analysts and consumers’ attention due to its good image quality. The 1.2 GHz dual-core processor is slightly better than the 1 GHz dual-core processor that was used on its predecessor. Customers can choose between the 8 GB and the 16 GB model, but both devices have an expandable memory of 64GB.
The rear camera is identical to the one on Galaxy Tab 2, which had 3 megapixels. The latest model, however, has also been foreseen with a 1.3-megapixel front camera. The design has been slightly modified, namely, the bezel is thinner with the new model, but the overall aspect will remain the same.
Samsung further revealed that the first Galaxy Tab 3 models will be released in May. They will feature Wi-Fi connectivity, whereas clients who want a 3G version will have to wait until June. The information provided is just a rough guide as the South Korean company concluded the declaration by stating that product availability will vary by market. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 will be gradually introduced on the different markets, depending on customers’ requests.
Although the new Samsung tablet is not as advanced as the recently released Galaxy S4 smartphone, it could still draw customers’ attention. The price of the Jelly Bean-based tablet has not been disclosed, but analysts estimate that the improved features will have a direct influence on the price.
