Actor Ryan Gosling, whom you can see in “Crazy, Stupid Love” and “Drive” on the big screen these days, reveals who were his two best girlfriends ever. He says that show business is a tough place to choose your girls from, but apparently, two of his exes passed the test of Hollywood.
Ryan Gosling told UK’s The Times: “I had two of the greatest girlfriend of all time. I haven’t met anybody who could top them”. Guess whom he was referring to! One of his perfect sweethearts was Sandra Bullock. She and Gosling dated from 2001/2 to 2003 and even though the relationship did not last for long, the cougar left a heart-shaped-paw mark in the actor’s heart. The other “great girlfriend of all times” was his four-year partner Rachel McAdams. They dated from 2004 to 2008.
So, if they were so great, why did he break-up with them? First of all, the Drive star takes all the blame for the splits. He says he is entirely to blame for the ending of his “great” relationships. But he can explain!
“Showbusiness is the bad guy. When both people are in show business it’s too much showbusiness. It takes all of the light, so nothing else can grow”, Gosling says in his defense.
Don’t imagine, though, that Gosling only dated the two America’s sweethearts. Oh, no! He was also romantically linked to other Hollywood stars, which apparently were not on “the best” list. So, who are those girlfriends who were not so great? We can mention Olivia Wilde, Blake Lively and Kat Dennings. And just so we’re clear, [so it won’t happen like in Brad Pitt’s recent “misunderstood” words case] Gosling did not mention anything bad about these three exes. He just did not include them on the “greatest girlfriend of all time” list.
But enough about the past, because Gosling has a present, as well. He is rumored to be dating sexy Latin actress Eva Mendez, and recently confessed to wanting to retire from acting in the near future. “I don’t want to act much longer. I can’t do one thing my whole life. I know there are only so many characters I’ll be able to play” he told NDTV. However, he does not say when exactly we’ll have to say goodbye to him. “It will be over whenever the inspiration dries up.”
