The wedding of the century is not followed by the expected honeymoon. Prince William and his wife, duchess Catherine, will not be heading on their exotic destination honeymoon just yet, according to US Magazine.
The Palace issued a statement which said that William, 28, and Catherine, 29, will have spent a quiet and well deserved weekend together and are back to work on Sunday.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen not to depart for a honeymoon immediately. Instead, after spending the weekend privately in the United Kingdom, The Duke will return to work as a Search and Rescue pilot next week.” said a press release that as posted on the royal wedding site.
The newly weds wanted to keep the location of their first weekend together as a couple a secret. They didn’t give any details about their honeymoon location, either. The only thing the press knows is that it will be overseas. “The locations of both their private weekend before The Duke returns to work and their future honeymoon, which will be overseas, will not be disclosed in advance.
The Couple have asked that their privacy be respected during the coming weekend and during their honeymoon” adds the palace statement.
Speculations are that the honeymoon destination will be a luxurious island where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will send a lot of time in the sun, exposing their beautiful attractive figures in some sexy swimsuits. Kate Middleton already showed off her silhouette in a bikini during a vacation in Ibiza with William, in the summer of 2006.
Kate and William became husband and wife on April 30th. The royal wedding ceremony took place at St. Paul’s Cathedral. Both weds were hailed for their impeccable taste and common sense. Kate’s dress was very much discussed and praised. It was even compared to another royalty’s good taste wedding dress: Grace Kelly.
Hundreds of thousands of civilians from all over the world (even some from overseas) spent the night before the wedding in front of the Cathedral in order to get a good spot from which they can see the future of the British monarchy.
Since Queen Elizabeth II wed, no future weddings lasted. They all ended up in a divorce, including Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s. Every British citizen hopes that this wedding will break the chain of unfortunate marriages. And as they say, the honeymoon dictates the future of the marriage. Let’s hope that wherever they will be, they will take advantage of their privacy.
