Some new details have been revealed regarding the death of famous actor Robin Williams. It seems that the star has suffered from Parkinson’s disease. The news was actually revealed by the wife of the late actor.
Susan Schneider, the wife of the Hollywood star, claimed that her late husband was in the early stages of Parkinson’s disease at the time on his death. Moreover, it has been said that the star was struggling with depression. Robin Williams died this week at the age of 63. The cause of the death is suspected suicide, which occurred in his home in Tiburon, California. Police reports indicated that the star died of asphyxia due to hanging.
“Robin spent so much of his life helping others… Since his passing, all of us who loved Robin have found some solace in the tremendous outpouring of affection and admiration for him from the millions of people whose lives he touched,” Susan Schneider claimed in a statement. The same statement added that Robin Williams had no problems with alcohol addiction at that time.
“Robin’s sobriety was intact and he was brave as he struggled with his own battles of depression, anxiety as well as early stages of Parkinson’s disease, which he was not yet ready to share publicly,” it said. It is well known that the Hollywood star had to deal with addiction issues for years.
Susan also admitted that her husband was suffering from anxiety and depression. It has been revealed that the financial problems of the star made him accept roles in movies he did not want to make and this only made the depression worse.
“It is our hope in the wake of Robin’s tragic passing, that others will find the strength to seek the care and support they need to treat whatever battles they are facing so they may feel less afraid,” Susan claimed. The statement said that his legacy will always live in the hearts of his family and fans.
