Robin Williams’s Suicide Might have been Determined by Dementia Hallucinations

The tragic death of famous actor Robin Williams shocked the entire world. Moreover, the way the star died was extremely shocking. Robin Williams hung himself and was found dead in his home by his personal assistant. 

The death of the star was ruled a suicide, but now what interests is what might have determined the talented actor to make this choice. TMZ reported that the suicide might have been determined by dementia hallucinations which the actor suffered from. Sources and family members claimed that Robin Williams struggled with Lewy Body Dementia for quite some time. Actually, this is the second most common type of progressive dementia after Alzheimer’s. 

When this disease is developed, the patient commonly deals with visual hallucinations, tremor and fluctuations in alertness. Susan, Robin’s wife, revealed after the star’s death that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, which was traced in an early stage. Moreover, Susan claimed that at the time of his death, the actor was undergoing treatment, but was complaining about the medications he received. 

Well, sources claimed that according to Robin Williams’ doctor, Lewy Body Dementia was a key factor in the star’s suicide. It is also known that the actor suffered from anxiety and depression, too. It surely seems that the star suffered from complex mental and psychological problems. 

Robin Williams was found dead in his home in August. After his death, a series of rumors surfaced indicating that the star was extremely unhappy with the way his career evolved. It has also been said that some financial problems determined the actor to take movie parts that he actually did not want to do. 

A toxicology report revealed that in the star’s body were found two anti-depressants and two caffeine compounds. No illegal drugs and no alcohol were traced in his system. Robin Williams is well known to have suffered from alcohol addiction, but the star was able to overcome the addiction problem. Before his death, Susan and Robin slept in separate bedroom, as the actor had trouble sleeping and talked loudly in his sleep.
