Many actors at some point in their career find themselves in the situation of having to do some sex scenes. This happened to Reese Witherspoon, as the actress starred in Wild. The famous Hollywood star decided to open up about this experience. In a recent interview, Reese Witherspoon claimed that filming the sex scene has actually been very hard.
“I didn’t want to do any of it. I really didn’t want to do the sex scenes. I really didn’t want to do the heroin scenes… No sex scenes are fun. They are just like… sometimes they’re fun, but there’s a whole other set of stories. No, it was hard,” the beautiful actress confessed. In fact, she was so unpleased with these scenes that she actually went to call the author of the best-selling book that inspired the movie, Cheryl Stayed.
“I called Cheryl the day before and I was like, ‘I have to do this scene in this alley and I’m having sex with two guys,’ and I’m like, ‘Why did you do this?!'” the actress explained. When it comes to the response she received, Reese laughed. She said that the author claimed that she is sorry she has been “such a slut in the ’90s, but you’re just gonna have to do it. Otherwise people are going to say, ‘It’s just going to be a hiking movie and that’s stupid.'”
Still, Reese knew the story that was shared in the movie even before the book was released. The famous actress claimed that she received the manuscript of the book in November, 2011. She read the whole book in a few hours and after finishing it, the actress said to have claimed: “I have to meet this woman. I don’t know who she is. I need to hug her!”
The story is very powerful and this is what the famous actress wanted to share. Reese said that what makes the story unique is not the fact that it is emotional or sarcastic. It actually is the fact that the author of the book is extremely honest about what happened in her life. That made Reese want to make the movie.
