It’s a little depressing when celebrities switch from pregnant to six-pack abs in five months. How do they do it?! Pink lost 55 pounds after daughter’s birth in June. The “So What” singer looks amazingly fit on the cover of Shape magazine’s November issue.
In the November issue of Shape magazine Pink reveals a killer figure as she rocks six-pack abs right from the cover. The 33-year-old singer confessed she indulged during the pregnancy on all her favorite treats and was shocked how unattractive she felt. But her vegan diet and exercising helped Pink lose 55 pounds in just five months after her daughter was born.
“I thought I’d feel like a goddess” Pink told Shape magazine about her being pregnant. “They sell you on that sh*t, like you’ll never feel more feminine. Really, I just felt like a mess, but I kind of enjoyed that too” the 33-year-old added.
“Hell, yeah, I gained 55 pounds. I think my baby may be part cheesecake” Pink joked. “I ate a lot of cheesecake during those nine months. Also, anything sour, Sour Skittles, Sour Patch Kids, key lime pie” the “So What” singer added.
Just eight months after giving birth, Pink began working out to lose the baby weight. 55 pounds was not an easy job, but a daily regimen of cardio and strength exercises and a vegan diet eventually were successful. The secret to Pink’s shocking weight loss was a combination of power yoga, kickboxing and treadmill routine with asparagus, cous cous and brown rice meals.
Pink also had help from celebrity trainers Jillian Michaels and Jeanette Jenkins. “They both kicked my butt more than any other person I’ve worked out with” Pink told Shape magazine. “They’re both amazing, and their bodies were all the inspiration I needed to get back into shape” she added.
Now, Pink is back to her hard six-pack abs, something that she was often teased for. “I get a lot of flak for” it she confessed in 2011 in a blog post. “But I’m okay with it. I think it’s because I was a gymnast for eight years, from ages four to 12. My body was made before my bones were fully grown. Gymnasts are short, stocky, muscular powerhouses”.
