Oh, this is such a big surprise! Gossip Cop leaked the news a week ago. People magazine gave “Magic Mike” aka Channing Tatum the Sexiest Man Alive honor. Wait…do you think it was just for stripping his clothes off?
I wasn’t too impressed by friends, coworkers and family talking about “Magic Mike”. I wasn’t all that curious to even see the trailer, until one day when I sat through the movie and finally understood why all my (female) friends were so thrilled about it. But I still like the “21 Jump Street” Channing Tatum better.
Long story short, People named Channing Tatum their Sexiest Man Alive 2012. And it wasn’t until reading about his take on family and life… He feels a bit like Mc. Dreamy and Mc Steamy (but without all that drama, ego and weirdness). Plus he was so modest about getting the Sexiest Man Alive honor. You’d think he’d shrub that off after the countless comments about his … physique.
“My first thought was, ‘Y’all are messing with me. I told Jenna [his wife] after we’d been in the bathtub washing our dogs because they’d gotten skunked” the 32-year-old actor told People about the good news. “She was like, ‘What”’. Yeah, she call me [the Sexiest Man Alive] now” Channing Tatum added.
Still not convinced he is a better Sexiest Man Alive material than Ryan Gosling? Let me tell you a few more things about Channing Tatum, this 32-year-old actor and sculptor living in Alabama and giving quotes by Edgar Allan Poe. He played “Magic Mike” the heart robbing stripper, Jenko the kind funny hero and now he is preparing for a part in “Foxcatcher” where he is an Olympic athlete.
And while he is People’s Sexiest Man Alive, Channing Tatum is very eager to start a family. “I’m ready; I think she’s ready” the actor told People. “The first number that pops into my head is three, but I just want one to be healthy and then we’ll see where we go after that he added. “It’s really easy for us guys to say, ‘I want like 15 kids’. Jenna will be like, ‘Well you better get another wife!’” Channing Tatum joked.
