The daughter of Band Aid founder Bob Geldof has died at the age of 25. Peaches Geldof died in her home in Kent, in southern England. The news on the young woman’s death was announced on Monday.
Peaches Geldof became well known as a model, DJ, as well as a journalist and television personality. However, Peaches was best known as the daughter of Irish singer Bob Geldof, who became quite famous as the founder of Band Aid.
Naturally, the news came as a shock for the entire family and the whole world. “She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever,” a statement from her father said.
A series of messages were posted on Twitter following the death of Peaches Geldof. The police confirmed the death of the star. The cops were called to the address where the star was found.
Peaches Geldof is survived by her husband and the couple’s two children. The star lost her mother when she was only 11 years old. “I remember the day my mother died, and it’s still hard to talk about it. I just blocked it out. I went to school the next day because my father’s mentality was ‘keep calm and carry on’,” Peaches previously said.
She added that the whole family tried to act like nothing happened, even though everything had changed. “I didn’t cry at her funeral,” Peaches confessed. The final photo that Peaches posted was a pic of herself and her mom. The photo came with a short message: “Me and my mum,” she said.
Peaches always proved to be extremely capable. At the age of only 16 she already was one of the contributing editors to the Telegraph and the Guardian. At 15, Peaches had a column in Elle magazine.
Peaches had a successful career in modeling, as well. “My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons,” the star’s husband said. “I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday. We shall love her forever,” his statement added.
