The new Oppo PM-3 headphone is available at the price of 400 dollars and it is considered to be the least expensive model in the line. What makes the new PM-3 so special is that the market of planar magnetic headphones is filled with open-back designs and the new Oppo model has a closed-back design. They are considered to be optimized for mobile use.
As we know, open-back models generally offer more airy and open sound, but, unfortunately, they also leak sound and can be used less in the presence of other people. As for design, the PM-3 features a good looking design and feels sturdily built. It comes with an all-metal headband and hinges and it is available in white or black.
The headphones are very comfortable in use and even if they have approximately 320 grams and do fit a little snugly. A good thing about these headphones is that they will work with any smartphone, playing with ample volume. It is a good feature, especially at the price of 400 dollars. There are many headphones that come with this feature, but at more expensive prices. Oppo PM-3 comes with a 3-meter cable that terminates in a 3.5mm plug, a screw-on 6.35mm adapter for homes stereos and a protective carrying case finished in denim. Customers who will decide to order this headphone through Oppo’s website will have the possibility to also select a bonus cable, for free, and that has an integrated remote and microphone. One cable is designed for use with Apple iOS, while the second for Android devices.
At first sight, the new Oppo PM-3 is an impressive headphone and delivers a good quality sound. However, the source of the music and the quality of the file are important, too, for an enhanced user experience.
