Omar White calls off engagement to Vivica A. Fox

Atlanta club owner Omar “Slim” White calls off the engagement to actress and businesswoman Vivica A. Fox, after ten months of wedding planning. According to Us Weekly, Omar says he outgrew his fiancé and had to walk away.

Back in May, when Vivica broke the news of her engagement, everyone thought this cougar hit the jackpot. Her fiancée was 28 years old, thus 19 years younger than her.  Despite the age difference, Vivica told Access Hollywood Live that they are getting along great and that she was actually thinking of moving to Atlanta. They wedding was first announced in late fall (about now), but instead of wedding vows, they shared sweet goodbyes. What truly tragic is that the actress expresses her desire of settling down and having children, as, at 47 years old, she doesn’t have much time left. “I need to, my clock’s ticking really bad”, she said at the time.

Now, in November Omar White admitted he cancelled the engagement and talked to TooFab about his motives. He started by saying that Vivica is “a good woman”, but “it’s just one of those situations where in life people outgrow each other.” Then, he apparently talks about some of his qualities – being smart,  and wise – that seem to target Vivica, describing her as the “negativity and drama” in his life. “So as in any relationship, tension can build up and I finally had to walk away.” White says that the age difference had nothing to do with the relationship not working out.

The only thing Vivica said indirectly about the split is that work keeps her busy “I’m fine! At work and being very productive”, she wrote on her Twitter page on Thursday. “God has got me! As always!”
