Olivier Martinez has been sitting on the bench for a long time, but the actor has just signed an agreement that might put him back in the spotlight. According to Deadline, Martinez agreed to star in the new series produced by Yahoo! called “Cybergeddon”.
Both Yahoo! and Olivier Martinez have been in a shading cone in the past years; the company has been dealing with various financial problems, whereas the actor struggled to obtain a better part. Judging by the recent news, it seems that the two parties have found a solution to their problems. The two have agreed to collaborate for the production of Yahoo’s series, “Cybergeddon” which is expected to cash in a lot of income.
According to the description provided by spokespersons, “Cybergeddon” is a fictional crime series dealing with cyber misdeeds. Olivier Martinez was chosen to play the part of the villain Gustov Dobreff, whereas Missy Peregrym – the interpreter of “Rookie Blue” – is the FBI agent who is responsible of capturing Dobrev. The other members of the FBI team will be played by Manny Montana and Kick Gurry.
Film analysts think the series might turn out successful given that it will be produced by Anthony E. Zuiker, who is famous for the “CSI” series. Dolphin Digital Media has offered to finance the project in collaboration with Creative Artists Agency.
The director of “Cybergeddon” is, according to the press release, Diego Velasco. His talent was acknowledged in relation to the 2010 action movie “The Zero Hour”, so we expect him to do a good job for Yahoo’s project, as well.
Those of you who have watched at least one episode of the “CSI” franchise are probably familiar with the fact that Zuiker likes to document himself about the crimes he writes about. The writer stood true to his rule one more time and he invited Norton by Symantec to take part in the making of the series. Thus, computer security experts will provide all the information that producers need for the narrative of the film.
