Things are not looking well for Nick Gordon. The star will have to pay no less than $36 million in a wrongful death lawsuit filed against him by Bobby Brown, the father of Bobbi Kristina. On the other hand, as expected, Bobby Brown is very happy with the outcome of this lawsuit.
Actually, Bobby Brown claimed that he is “pleased” that Nick was ordered to pay this amount in the lawsuit. Bobby Brown’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina dated Nick Gordon at the time of her death. Her passing has actually been associated to quite a big scandal, Nick being associated to the star’s death. Nick was the one who found Bobbi Kristina unconscious in her bathtub and immediately it has been claimed that he might have had something to do with the tragedy.
Bobbi Brown accused Nick of killing his daughter and he even banned him from attending Bobbi Kristina’s funeral. There is no shock in the fact that he was so happy with this verdict. “I am pleased with the outcome of today’s court proceedings. I do know that Mr. Gordon will be unable to slander my daughter’s name in the future or obtain any benefits from the use of Krissy’s name,” Bobby Brown said in an official statement.
“Finally, I do need for the District Attorney’s Office to step up and begin the criminal prosecution of Mr. Gordon. The delay in that matter is of great concern to me and my family. We need for District Attorney Howard to act now,” he went on to add.
Immediately after the news emerged, a series of reports started to wonder how Nick will be able to pay this huge amount of money. However, maybe Gordon expected such a verdict after in September he was deemed legally responsible for the death of Bobbi Kristina. Then, he failed to make a court appearance. Bobby Kristina Brown is the daughter of Bobby Brown and late singer Whitney Houston. She passed away about six months after she was found unresponsive in a bath tub at her home. Bobby Kristina was only 22 years old.
