Based on a recent report provided by AllThingsD, the second most famous social network, Twitter is due to launch the We Are Hunted music app on Friday. Coachella, the giant music festival that is usually held in California, will see the official introduction of the music app.
Twitter will offer a new music app to its users starting this weekend. The social network did not make any official declarations, so far, but sources familiar with the matter, have stated that the company will, indeed, make an official introduction of We Are Hunted music app during the Coachella festival.
The music platform for the Twitterverse will be available for those who have an account and those who don’t. The only difference arises from the fact that people with a Twitter account will have access to many more features than the others. Many more changes will be enacted on Twitter once the We Are Hunted music program will be available. Each user will benefit of a personalized music scheme containing recommendations that are made based on the singles they normally listen to, as well as the artists that their followers follow. The information related to songs and artists will be displayed using a grid design, whereas additional details about their career will be showcased through an expanding panel.
The Twitter version of the app We Are Hunted will feature four tabs. “The “Suggested” tab will contain a list of songs that the app thinks you might enjoy based on the music you listened to on previous occasions. The second tab, “#NowPlaying”, shares the title of the song you are listening to preceded by the well-known Twitter hashtag #, whereas the third tab, “Popular” introduces you to the songs that are trending on the Internet. Unlike other apps, the We Are Hunted music platform has also been provided with an “Emerging” tab to present the up-and-coming artists. The new Twitter app will integrate many more social services, such as, iTunes, SoundCloud and Vevo.
