Motorola released a range of new devices during the events held simultaneously in London and in New York. Besides the new Moto G, Motorola has also released three new versions of the Moto X. These include the new Moto X Pure Edition and Style, but there is a Play edition, as well.
However, the Moto X Style will be the one available on the market in UK and Europe, while the new Moto X Pure Edition will be available in the US. Moreover, these two phones are practical identical, featuring a larger 5.7-inch display, improved battery life, a 21-megapixel camera and customization options using the Moto Maker tool.
Moto X Pure/Style can be bought from Motorola’s website, but until further details, the exact price remains unknown. To be added that one of the significant changes it brings is the size of the display. It looks like the company boosted it from 5.2- to 5.7-inches.
Even if the exact dimensions are not known for the moment, it is expected that the phone to be a little larger than the existing Moto X, due to its large display. However, the company declared that the device will come with an edge-to-edge display, meaning that it will have a very skinny bezel.
To be mentioned that the design is approximately the same as the previous Moto X. This means that Moto X Pure/Style are coming with button-free front design and rounded edges. The existing Moto X had a nice and comfortable feeling on the back and it looks like Motorola made no changes on the new devices. The phone is very comfortable to hold in hand and its edges are made from metal.
Moreover, these phones will run Android Lollipop, while the screens are packing 2,560×1,440-pixel resolution. This is a significant change, because Moto X has 1,920×1,080-pixels. With such kind of screen, these new phones will also be comparable with other ultra HD phones like LG G4 and Galaxy S6. As for the battery, it will come with a 3,000mAh, which is another big step, compared with 2,300mAh battery found in Moto X.
