Talented actress Misty Upham, who had been missing for 12 days, was found dead. The star’s body was found on Thursday in a wooded area of a Seattle suburb. A family spokesperson made the revelations.
The talented actress was only 32 years old. The cops discovered the body along with the star’s purse, which contained her identification. Family members were called by officials to identify the body at about 6 p.m. Until now, no cause of death has been revealed.
An official statement from the police department revealed that officials needed no less than five hours and a 10 person team to be able to recover the body. The body was found in a ravine near the White River. The body was first found by a group of friends and family, who were searching the area. They announced the cops who came at the scene of the events.
“We just want to make it clear that the Auburn police had nothing to do with looking for her or finding her,” a rep for the family said. “It was friends and family that led the search and rescue teams that found Misty,” it added. “The Auburn Police Department states that there is no initial evidence or information to indicate foul play; however the Medical Examiner will make the final determination,” the same statement revealed.
Her family reported that the actress went missing on October 6th. They also claimed that the actress had a suicidal behavior the day before her disappearance. Moreover, Misty’s dad said that his daughter stopped taking medication for her condition. He revealed that she was suffering from anxiety and bi-polar disorder. Well, Misty’s dad said that he is sure that his daughter would not commit suicide.
Misty Upham is well known for her roles in Frozen River, as well as Django Unchained. However, she became famous thanks to her performance in Frozen River, movie in which she starred alongside Melissa Leo. The actress also starred in August: Osage County and Cake.
A statement on the exact cause of death of the young actress is expected the following days.
