Singer Miranda Lambert is proud of her body, especially when it comes to her “big butt”. The Grammy winner told Shape magazine that her lifestyle goal is not to be on a diet, but to embrace healthy habits, even if that means having a “big butt”…which she doesn’t mind having, that is.
Country star Miranda Lambert is working out and trying to eat healthy, like any other stars who spend most of her 24-hour-day in the spotlight. Even if, at a first look, her figure doesn’t say about her “Lambert is a fitness guru”, she assures Shape magazine that she really hits the gym constantly. When she is touring, she is adapting her exercise program to her schedule, so she would maintain her physical tonus. “When I’m touring, I have to think of workouts that don’t require a gym”, she says. “My favorite is running up and down the stairs at the arena, which is good cardio and great for my lower body”. Great idea for so many others who, for one reason or another, don’t get to see the interior of a gym for months in a row!
So what does she use for motivation? We all need it when it comes to maintaining out fitness program constant. “I listen to Beyonce’s ‘Run the World (Girls)’ when I exercise”. Plus, she confesses that she has in mind this image of Beyonce’s perfect body, which makes her push herself harder.
For those of you with very busy schedules which don’t allow you to eat healthy, Lambert has the answer. Even if it’s not the best idea, the singer says that, when touring, she often stops at fast food restaurants. But instead of ordering the usual menus, she goes for the “alternative to that cheeseburger”. After trying several diets such as Atkins and doing Nutrisystem several times, Miranda says that there are things about your body that you simply must accept. “I don’t mind having a big butt—they’re back in style”, she says.
