Miranda Kerr has recently revealed that her separation from her former husband, Orlando Bloom, has not been simple at all. The beautiful model claimed that she actually struggled with depression after her divorce. Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom have been married for three years. The two got divorced in 2013.
Well, during a recent interview with Elle Canada, the actress said she experienced a “really bad” depression after the separation. The star said for the latest issue of Elle Canada that she has since managed to move on.
“When Orlando and I separated [in 2013], I actually fell into a really bad depression. I never understood the depth of that feeling or the reality of that because I was naturally a very happy person …every thought you have affects your reality and only you have control of your mind,” the model said.
Well, the fact that she managed to move on is best proven by Miranda’s engagement. The model recently got engaged to Evan Spiegel, the CEO of Snapchat. And it surely seems that she found what she has been looking for. “I have this philosophy that we should all be like willow trees – people think that in a big storm, the oak is the strongest tree, but it’s actually the willow tree because it’s very, very flexible,” Miranda explained.
Miranda previously revealed her engagement through an Instagram post. The star shared a picture of her engagement ring and it seems that she was eager to share the great news with the whole world. “I said yes,” the model shared. Miranda and Evan started to date back in 2015 after first meeting at a Louis Vuitton dinner, in Los Angeles. However, the two had known each other for quite some time before starting to date.
Miranda previously said that she and Evan were good friends. Miranda knew that Evan was right for her quite early in their relationship, as she actually introduced him to her son only after six months of dating. And it seems that Evan gets along great with Miranda’s child from her marriage to Orlando Bloom.
