Miley Cyrus decided to once again open up about her attraction towards both men and women. The star talked to Time magazine and alleged that she prefers to talk about herself as being gender fluid and this is “just how I feel.”
“I’m just equal. I’m just even. It has nothing to do with any parts of me or how I dress or how I look. It’s literally just how I feel,” the star revealed. “People try to make everyone something. You can just be whatever you want to be,” Miley Cyrus went on to add. The star made these comments in a special context, as Miley is actually working to show her support for sexuality and acceptance beyond boy-girl norms.
Miley also decided to talk about the criticism that has been targeted on her for her shocking stage appearances and her almost nude on-stage costumes. The star claimed that she is very aware of what it is claimed about her, but she does not pay attention to the criticism, as she is actually doing it with a purpose. “I’m using it as a power stance,” she said. “It’s funny to see people try to look me in the eye.”
Well, Miley revealed that both relationships with men or women have made her happy, or unhappy. The star claimed that whenever she is dating a guy, she is quite bothered by their “overly macho energy.” “That made me feel like I had to be a femme-bot, which I’m not,” the famous singer went on to say. However, it is not easier with girls, either. “And then when I was with a girl, I felt like, ‘Oh s**t, she’s going to need someone to protect her, so I’m going to need to have this macho energy.’ And that didn’t feel right either,” Miley explained.
During the same interview, the singer claimed that what is really difficult is finding someone who you can talk to and be yourself with. The star also shared an advice for young people. Miley claimed that they should not be afraid to be themselves, no matter what and live their lives.
