Microsoft had delayed the launch of the Xbox One game console on the Chinese market. The release was set to be made on Tuesday, but Microsoft claimed that it has been moved to the end of the year.
Microsoft revealed nothing about the reason which may have determined this delay in its plans. However, the famous company made the public announcement on this change of plans on Sunday. The tech giant has yet to confirm when the Xbox One will be available on the Chinese market, as well.
“Despite strong and steady progress, we are going to need a bit more time to deliver the best experiences possible for our fans in China,” the popular company revealed in a statement. “At Xbox, we pride ourselves on delivering first-rate gaming and entertainment experiences, and to allow us to deliver on that promise, we need to reschedule the launch of the Xbox One,” their statement added.
This is not the first time when Microsoft meets some problems when it comes to the release of new products in China. In fact, the tech company actually is under investigation in China for suspected anti-trust violation, linked to the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office.
The Xbox One console is set to cost 3,600 yuan in China, without the Kinect motion detection system, Microsoft claimed in July. The Xbox one with Kinect will cost 4,299 yuan, the famous company also said during the summer.
Well, there is no doubt in the fact that the Chinese market represents a very important development area for Microsoft. China is now the third biggest gaming market in the world and is in continuous development. Sony claimed in May that they are willing to bring the PlayStation console to this market, too. However, releasing certain products in China is not simple at all.
Apple is also struggling now to release its new iPhone on the Chinese market. Actually, the famous company needs certain approvals until the new phone will become available for sale. The famous tech giant hopes that this will happen until the end of the year.
