If Michelle William’s look in “My Week with Marilyn” impressed you so much that you want to experience it yourself, here are 4 easy steps to do so. And if you have some styling skills, you don’t even need a hairstylist for this.
If you saw Michelle Williams’ portrayal of Marilyn Monroe, you probably thought what we did, too: “She is amazing!” Her look is so similar to the 50s star’s that it makes you wonder what were those other directors making Marilyn Monroe movies doing searching for all the wrong girls to impersonate the most famous blonde in the world.
Before getting to work, you must have you hair dyed blonde and cut to the same length as in the photo. If you don’t have it, you can still get Marilyn’s curls, but mixed with your own personal style.
The first thing you have to do is apply a styling spray on your hair, one that can be used with a hairdryer. Then use the hairdryer to blow the hair out. After that, separate the hair into more sections. Each section has to be one inch-wide, approximately. Take each hair section and apply a firm-hold spray. Be sure to spray it from the root up, on all the hair’s length.
The next step is taking each sprayed section of hair and wrapping it around a curling iron that was previously heated. Pin each of the curls to the head.
Step three consists in removing all the pins from your head and applying a spray for amplifying the volume.
And finally, the last part of the styling includes applying an anti-humidity spray so your hair won’t go flat in a few hours. Separate de hair with your fingers to give it a more natural look.
If your hair is too thin, be careful not to apply too much of the styling products. If you oversprayed it, search for another styling product that would ease-up the volume of the others.
