Michael Lohan, the father of Hollywood’s rebel blonde actress Lindsay Lohan, is back in jail, just hours after being released, on Wednesday. According to Associated press, the 51-year-old estranged father of the actress threated his girlfriend over the phone, thus continuing his violent behavior which dragged him behind bars in the first place.
Michael Lohan was released from the county jail in Tampa, Florida, where he spent his sentence time for domestic violence charges. On Wednesday, he was released. Among the first things he did was to call his girlfriend, Kate Major. The woman called the police shortly after the phone call, scared about the threats Lohan had made during the conversation. The police arrived at Major’s condo, and while she was giving a statement about what had happened, the phone rang again. It was Lohan. The officers asked Major to put the phone on speaker. So she did. It didn’t take long for the police to convince themselves that Lohan needed to make a trip back to jail.
The police located Lohan at the Tahitian Inn in Tampa. When spotting the officers, he ran out the window and tried to jump in another balcony, from the third floor. He hung down from the roof, in an attempt to get on the balcony under him, but when he let go of the roof, he fell down, on some “wooden chairs that were laying on the ground,” Officer J. Ladd explained.
Michael Lohan, 51, was arrested and taken to Hillsborough County Jail. Suspecting an injury following the crash, he was then taken to Tampa General Hospital for a medical evaluation.
The first arrest of Lohan took place on Tuesday, after an argument between him and his girlfriend, Star reporter Kate Major, 28, burst into violence. Her statement says that he stabbed her several times in the hands and pushed her around. Lohan said he did none of those things and that Major was actually looking to make money out of the story. Regarding the last incident, he claims that it was Major who called him first. “She needs help, she calls me, and I’m a sucker so I call her back. I’m an idiot”, he said, according to St. Petersburg Times.
