Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have always been a really happy couple. In fact, the pair has been through so much already that it really seems that nothing could break them up.
Now, some rumors indicated that the pair is planning on renewing their vows to celebrate in a very special way their 15th wedding anniversary.
However, it seems that the reports were not true after all, being dismissed by the famous pair. So, a rep for the actor revealed that the pair has no intention of renewing their vows in the near future.
The rumors first emerged along with a report from Star magazine. The report stated that the married couple considered that 15 years together requites a great celebration. “They want to cherish how far they’ve come by renewing their commitment to each other,” one insider claimed.
Some sources said that the celebration had already taken place, although the pair chose to have an intimate ceremony. Allegedly, they invited about 75 people to their residence in New York. Among the famous people said to have been there were included Matt Damon, Danny DeVito, but also Jack Nicolson. One source claimed that Catherine and Michael wanted to do this with the purpose to show the kids that everything was fine. “It’s not about the glitz and the glamour. They really just want to show their kids, Dylan and Carys, that everything is all right now.”
Well, probably sources were referring to the couple of months of 2013 when Catherine and Michael were separated. So, the couple briefly separated, but they reunited soon after. Previously, Michael opened up about the separation and claimed that he really loves Catherine and is just happy that they were able to work things out, after all. “We worked things out – if both people want to work something out and make it better, you can do it. You can’t do it if it’s just one person.”
