Famous actor Meshach Taylor has passed away at the age of 67. Apparently, the actor had suffered from cancer. He passed away on Saturday night, at his home in Altadena, California. The death of the star was confirmed by his agent, Dede Binder.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Meshach Tayloer suffered from cancer prior of his death. A message was posted by the family of the talented actor before his death. “It is with love and gratitude that we sorrowfully announce that our darling, amazingly brilliant and dynamic Meshach, the incredible father, husband, son and friend, has begun his grand transition,” the message said.
Meshach Taylor will always be remembered for his role as Anthony Bouvier, in the highly famous comedy Designing Women. The show ran between 1986 and 1993. The success of this show and his great performance helped Meshach receive an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Support Actor in a Comedy Series, a nomination that came as a proof of his unique acting talent.
After no less than 7 years, the show Designing Women was canceled. Following this show, Meshach Taylor received a role in another television series, comedy Dave’s World. The talented actor had a part in this project for no less than four years. In 1997, the performance ended.
While he remains most famous for his performance in the 1986 movie Mannequin, Meshach Taylor is highly popular for all his roles. The star was always appreciated for his unique acting talent. Throughout the years, he developed numerous projects and was cast in many roles.
Reports reveal that at the time of his death, Meshach Taylor was surrounded by friends and family. His wife, his children and mother were there with him, a statement revealed. He fought a terminal illness which unfortunately was after all impossible to overcome.
