Huawei revealed on Tuesday its super-slim model of smartphone, the Ascend P6, which is said to introduce a completely different look in the company’s line of models. The new smartphone will only be available in China and the Western Europe for the moment, but the model could be introduced in other regions, as well in the following period, PC Mag reports.
Huawei is among the companies who decided to perform changes on its smartphone. The company presented on Tuesday the Ascend P6 telling both customers and analysts that this is the lightest and thinnest model on the market. According to the company, the new phone has a 4.7-inch screen and is just 6.18mm thin.
Analysts were quick to admit that the greatest asset of the Ascend P6 is the dimension. They have compared it with the models commercialized by LG Optimus L9 and HTC One. The first one is 9.1 mm slim, whereas the second one measures 9.3 mm.
Huawei also stated that the slim form of the new smartphone is primarily due to the new LCD in-cell display which uses the same circuitry layers for the display the touch technology. The dimensions however, are not the only ones that will allure customers, according to the manufacturing company. P6 has also been endowed with “MagicTouch” the technology which allows users to operate the phone even when they are wearing gloves. The metallic model runs the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and sports a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor.
The new smartphone is pretty great in point of camera features, as well; Huawei told the public that the front-facing camera has 5-megapixels, whereas the rear-facing one is an 8-megapixel camera which supports 1080p full HD video formats.
The A6 model following the A2 phone will be available on other markets, as well, but the company did not elaborate. No word on the practiced prices, either.
