The popular CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, is without a doubt one of the most famous and successful men in technology. Mark recently decided to answer a lot of questions during his first public Q&A session that took place on Thursday in Menlo Park.
Mark talked about many subjects and one of them was regarding the Facebook Messenger. Facebook users were forced to migrate to the new app starting with the summer. Well, Mark claimed that for the famous social network, asking people to move to a new app was a big thing. “Asking everyone in our community to install another app is a big ask,” Zuckerberg claimed. However, the move was a must.
So, what Mark was trying to share was the fact that this new app aimed to make the mobile experience of Facebook users much better and this is something that all users should understand. Moreover, Zuckerberg explained that the move aimed to allow each separate service to focus “on doing one thing well.”
Facebook is nowadays a very powerful tool. People use the famous social network to find out what their friends have been doing lately, but also to discover a series of information and to follow their pages of interest. People also visit Facebook to communicate and share content with friends and family.
“We felt we couldn’t deliver the best experience” Mark said to justify the move. The star also said that he is not a cool person, so he never tried to make Facebook cool. He claimed that he wanted Facebook to be useful and this is still a goal for the highly famous social network.
An interesting fact is that Mark Zuckerberg also talked about the movie The Social Network, which was released in 2010. “It’s a very interesting experience to watch a movie supposedly about my life,” Mark said. “The reality is that writing code and building a product and building a company actually is not a glamorous enough thing to make a movie about.”
This is why, Mark claimed, Hollywood had to show that he created the social network in an effort to meet girls. “If somehow I was trying to create Facebook to find more women, that probably would not have gone over very well in my relationship,” the sad said, naturally referring to his relationship with his wife, as the two met more than a decade ago.
