Maria Shriver gets divorced from Arnold Schwarzenegger

On Friday, Maria Shriver, filed for divorce from former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.  There is no way back for the couple who spent over 20 years together and has four children together.

If anyone hoped that the Shriver – Schwarzenegger couple would get back together and forget the housekeeper affair, now it is final: Maria is divorcing Arnold. According to Us Weekly, cited “irreconcilable differences” have made the reason to put an end to a marriage who lasted a quarter of a century. Maria is seeking to obtain legal custody of her two minor children, Patrick, who is 17 years old, and Christopher, who is 13 years old. The other two children are 21 years old (daughter Katherine) and 19 years old ( daughter Christina).Laura Wasser, Maria Shriver’s lawyer is also asking on behalf of her client, for spousal support and for attorney’s fees.

Maria left the family household earlier this year, months before the press scandal began. She found out that Arnold had cheated on her with a member of the household staff and more than that, they have a child together. Housekeeper Mildred “Patti” Baena has been romantically involved with the Terminator star for years and they have a son together. The boy is about the same age as the official son of Arnold, Christopher.
In May, Maria, 55, and Arnold, 63, have issued a statement saying that after thinking about it for a long time, they have decided to separate. A separate statement from her part says that her main concern at that time is the children.

In a recent statement, the actor says “I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family," the actor said in a statement. "There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry.”

Maria is not divorced; she has filed for divorce. And there is a way out: she can withdraw the petition at any time.

That's right! She only filed, and only after further investigation into this supposedly love-child of Arnold's is confirmed, then a divorce will be finalized.

Maria should forgive Arnold. It happened over decade ago. I do believe that Arnold loves Maria deeply
