In a recent interview on Howard Stern’s show, Madonna made some shocking revelations. The star claimed that she was sexually assaulted at the age of only 19. In fact, the star decided to share how her experience was while living in New York at the beginning of her career in entertainment.
“The first year I lived in New York was crazy,” the famous singer claimed. “My stupid friendliness, just chatting with somebody [got me in trouble].” Madonna claimed that she trusted in people and this got her into a tragic situation. The star claimed that she met a man on the street who offered to let her use the phone in his apartment. Of course, this happened before the era of technology. Madonna claimed that she had no money to make a call from a public telephone, this is why she accepted the help.
The singer said that she met this friendly man who was “like, ‘Well, I just live right across the street. You can make a phone call from my house.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, that’s really nice of you!'” Although she was abused, Madonna said that she never reported the attack. The singer explained that she wanted to press charges, but that would have met a physical examination and going before a court, while being asked a series of personal questions. This is why decided to forget about what happened to her.
“It’s like so violating. You’ve already been violated; so then do you want to talk about it? Do you want to make it public? No, it’s just not worth it. It’s too humiliating,” she concluded.
During her new interview, Madonna also claimed that she actually does not fear death. The beautiful singer claimed that as an artist, she is sure she will live forever. And without a doubt her music and legacy will live forever.
