Although previous rumors indicated that only the FBI was investigating the alleged incident occurring on a plane and involving Brad Pitt being violent towards one of his children, now it seems that the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services is also looking into the case.
So, US Weekly reported that both Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have spoken to the LA County Department of Child and Family Services immediately after the incident. This incident occurred on a private jet, as Angelina, Brad and their six children were returning to the US from France. Media reported that Brad was “verbally abusive and physical” with both his wife and his children. The incident occurred last week.
Allegedly, someone from the flight called the Department of Child and Family Services, although the identity of the caller has not been revealed. The department investigated and questioned both actors, but finally decided to let them go. However, this does not mean that the case has been closed. “The investigation is still ongoing and [Brad] knows he is being investigated… He does not believe he committed abuse,” an insider told US Weekly.
The Department of Child and Family Services refused to comment on the case. “We’re prohibited by law from disclosing case-specific information or even identifying any involvement with any client,” an official statement said.
Sources claimed that Brad was drunk when this incident occurred. Allegedly, the actor got into an argument with his wife, in front of their children. One of the kids is said to have intervened, trying to defend his mother. Of course, the rumors have not been confirmed by the famous actors. Brad previously denied the allegations.
The abuse allegations emerged only two days after Angelina Jolie officially filed for divorce from her husband of two years. The pair wedded in 2014, although they have been a couple for about ten years. Angelina and Brad have six children. Sources claimed that this plane incident determined Angelina to make this step and file for legal separation. Angelina is seeking sole physical custody of the children and does not want spousal support.
