Actress Lindsay Lohan was sent to jail for a month, but after checking-in on Sunday night, she was soon released, thus reducing her sentence to 5 hours. The Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood had no more unoccupied beds.
It seems like there is nothing the law can do to punish Lindsay Lohan. The blonde actress and future Playboy model was sentenced to 30 days in jail, but only spent 5 hours behind bars. She was then released due to overcrowding. Judge Stephanie Saunter sentenced Lohan to 30 days in jail, 12 hours of community service and 4 hours of psychotherapy. Ironically, if she fails to complete the sentence, she will then have to spend 270 days in the same overcrowded jail.
Lindsay’s never-ending trouble with the law stared back in 2007, when she was arrested for DUI and failed to complete her sentence. Since then, she was arrested and sent to jail five times. She was released due to overcrowding several times and was then put to house arrest this past summer. When returning to court for a probation violation (she destroyed her ankle monitor by spilling a drink on it, while having a party at her home during house arrest), Judge Saunter told her “don’t give people a reason to hate you.” Lohan didn’t seem to care much about it as she managed to ruin her community service hours at the morgue this fall.
Even though she is always making a mess with the law, Lohan is still very skilled when it comes to her career. She recently signed a contract with Playboy Magazine for photo shoot in the December issue. According to her mother, Dina Lohan, the 25-year-old, who has previous modeling experience, will pose in a sexy yet classy way. The pictorial will be tasteful, as the photos will be selected by Lindsay and Hefner himself.
