Lamar Odom seems to believe that he is perfectly fine. The former Los Angeles Lakers star has reportedly refused rehab, although he is dealing with some serious alcohol issues. According to the latest reports, Lamar’s family is really worried about him, after the star was kicked out of a flight for being intoxicated. The incident occurred several weeks ago.
So, new reports indicated that Lamar’s family is so worried about him that they actually staged a surprise intervention for the star in New York. Extra magazine revealed that the intervention was held by Lamar’s former wife Liza Morales, aunt JaNean Mercer, as well as other family members and the star’s children. Everyone reportedly tried to convince Lamar to enter a rehab center in Florida. Some representatives from this center have also joined the intervention.
However, despite the fact that his family thinks that he needs help, it seems that Lamar believes that he is perfectly fine. The star is said to have refused to seek treatment and to enter rehab. Furthermore, he left the venue where his close ones were holding the intervention.
The fact that an intervention might have been held was also reported by US Weekly, which indicated that the star was not doing well at all. “Lamar was doing really bad and his family was going to stage an intervention on Friday,” an insider told the magazine. Well, without a doubt in the most recent months it seemed that Lamar was going through some hard times.
It all started when the former Los Angeles Lakes player was found unconscious in a brothel. This occurred back in October 2015. Although he survived the incident, Lamar found it quite difficult to recover. At the time when he was found he took a near-fatal overdose. Khloe Kardashian, his estranged wife, has been by Lamar’s side throughout this time, helping him regain his health.
It was reported that Lamar was still undergoing rehab programs and was doing quite well when he was kicked out of a flight for being very drunk and even vomiting on the plane. Lamar has not commented on this incident or on the newest reports.
