These days, Kim Kardashian’s mother Kris Jenner is promoting her new memoir named “Kris Jenner … and All Things Kardashian”. But due to the unfortunate event in the family that happened recently, Kris got from talking about her book to talking about her daughter’s divorce.
Kris Jenner’s new book is now available to all interested readers. It describes the life of the multitasking mother, wife, businesswoman and grandmother, that manages to do it all in a 24-hour-day. Jenner opens up about the good days and the rough times the family has had, touching on topics that would make readers feel close to her as a person. She writes about love, marriage, motherhood, divorce, losses and hope.
Jenner is now touring New York to promote “Kris Jenner … and All Things Kardashian”. Still, when giving interviews about her memoir, there is always a moment when she is asked about Kim’s short wedding and shocking divorce. Kim Kardashian, 31, married basketball player Kris Humphries on August 20. She then filed for a divorce 72 days later. The short marriage got the rumors started, as more and more people believe that it was a sham. The wedding was reported to have cost around 18 million dollars, money that neither of them took out of their pockets. All the costs were reportedly supported by sponsors: Vera Wang gifted the bride with three wedding dresses with a total value of 60,000 dollars. The catering, the invitations, the champagne and other expensive “details” were also paid for, by sponsors, the NY Post reported at the time. “I don’t think any of us are in that kind of situation where we have to go out and … create opportunities to make more money”, replied Jenner to allegations that her daughter and son-in-law were actually looking to make some extra cash.
When asked about the family’s relationship with Humphries following the filing for divorce, Kris says that neither she nor her daughter have talked to him since then. She also added that, just like Humphries, Kim is also devastated and feels responsible for the break-up. Nevertheless, this is not the end of the Kardashian’s lives. “We’re going to carry on and hopefully be much stronger as human beings and as a family”, Jenner said.
