Famous band Kings of Leon decided to cancel their Blossom show. Apparently, the decision of these popular musicians is linked to the injury that was suffered by drummer Nathan Followill. The star got injured after a bus accident.
After the incident, the band announced that they will cancel their show, which was scheduled for Wednesday, August 20. The show was set to take place at Blossom Music Center. “Kings of Leon were involved in a tour bus accident en route to their hotel in Boston [Saturday night] when a pedestrian jumped in front of their tour bus, causing the bus to stop short, injuring Nathan Followill,” a statement from the band said.
The same statement added that Nathan Followill is under treatment and has improved his condition. The statement revealed that the singer is treated for broken ribs. It seemed that the star was doing well, but the band decided to cancel its Blossom show, too, avoiding to perform until Nathan will be absolutely fine.
The drummer of the Kings of Leon is anxious to get back on the stage. “I’m counting the days until I can get back in the saddle and continue what has been our best American tour so far,” Nathan’s statement said. However, the singer was not able to perform on Wednesday, as doctors prohibited him from doing that. The star is not allowed to get back on the stage until August 28.
Kings of Leon currently are on tour to promote their latest album, Mechanical Bull. The famous band is formed by brothers Nathan, Caleb and Jared Followill and their cousin Matt Followill. The popular band is quite happy with the success of their latest album, saying that they are extremely excited to be on the road to promote it.
As the Blossom show of Kings of Leon has been canceled, fans who purchased a ticket to see the famous band will be able to get a refund. No other information has been revealed at this point about the future plans on the popular band. It has been claimed that the band hopes to resume their tour before the show they are going to hold in Pittsburgh.
