Kathy Griffin might be the one who will replace comedian Joan Rivers on famous television series Fashion Police. The famous actress has confirmed the fact that she was offered this role.
The future of the show remained uncertain following the death of Joan Rivers. Rivers has passed away in September. Well, E! had to find another star for its Fashion Police and it seems that Kathy Griffin was the person considered for this role. Griffin was the one who made the news public on Monday. Access Hollywood reported that the star did not confirm that she will take the role.
“They did offer it to me,” the star said. “I don’t know if the situation is correct at this time for me or right for me at this time,” Kathy Griffin went on to explain. “I really hope they continue in the spirit of Joan’s work,” she added. “She brought a fearlessness and a brand of humor into our homes that we really need. Somebody’s gotta be out there poking fun at the ridiculousness of all of this!”
Kathy Griffin may not be the person who will take over the show, after all, but negotiations continue. So, reps for E! revealed that they are looking for the perfect host of the show and they will make an official announcement once they are certain who will take the role.
Fashion Police is a very successful E! show which started to air in 2010. In fact, throughout the years, the popularity of the show only continued to grow. And important role in its success has had its host Joan Rivers. Naturally, the pressure in finding someone perfect is really high. Previous hosts of the show include Giuliana Rancic , Kelly Osbourne and George Kotsiopoulos.
After the death of Joan Rivers, the series has been a hiatus. However, producers announced that it will make a comeback in 2015 with a new host and many surprises for fans. Fans are surely waiting anxiously to discover who will be the next host of Fashion Police and what the show will bring new next year.
