Famous actress Kate Hudson, who just gave birth to her second son a few days ago, has unveiled the name that she and fiancée Matt Bellamy decided to give him: Hawn Bingham. Bellamy tweeted on Wednesday the name of the baby as well as detail about the birth.
The “Something Borrowed” star and the Muse frontman had the best seven days ever. Their first baby together was born just a few days ago and now they are the proud parents of a boy. Matt Bellamy is especially excited as this is his first child. Kate has another son, Ryder, who is 7 years old, with ex husband, eccentric rocker Chris Robinson.
“So happy! Just had a baby boy” Bellamy, 33, tweeted on Wednesday. He also said that the natural birth of his son lasted over four hours. “Mum and baby are strong and healthy. Mum was a warrior, Bing popped out after 4.5 hours of intense pushing.” The boy was born on Saturday night in Los Angeles and weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz at birth.
After several days of deliberation, the baby’s name was decided: Bingham Hawn Bellamy. The name Hawn was given in the honor of Kate’s mother, Goldie Hawn. However, there is no indication on why Bingham was chosen. Bellamy already nicknamed his baby “Bing”. Even though Bingham is usually a last name, we may think of the 40s American singer and actor Bing Crosby. But his real name was Harry Lillis. On the other hand, more and more celebrities name their children unusual names these days. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon named their baby boy Moroccan, which is an adjective. The Beckham little girl is named Seven, which is a numeral. Again, Mariah’s twin baby girl is named Monroe, after the last name of Hollywood 50s icon Marilyn Monroe. So why not name a baby boy Bingham? After all, Hawn is a last name as well. And in the decades to come, maybe Bing will name his baby Hudson. That sounds pretty good for a first name, don’t you think?
