Unfortunately, famous actors Kate and Oliver Houston do not have a perfect relationship with their biological father. In fact, they have no relationship at all. Bill Houston recently claimed that his two children are dead to him. Bill made the shocking revelation during an interview with The Mail.
“I say to them now, ‘I set you free,'” Bill claimed. “I had five birth children but I now consider myself a father of three. I no longer recognize Oliver and Kate as my own.” Bill went on to add that he wants to ask the two to stop using his last name.
“I would ask them to stop using the Hudson name,” he said. “They are no longer a part of my life. Oliver’s Instagram post was a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack. He is dead to me now. As is Kate. I am mourning their loss even though they are still walking this earth.” He was referring to a post that Oliver shared on Father’s Day.
Oliver shared a picture of him and Kate as children, along with their father, with the message “Happy abandonment day.” Bill claimed that he was not the one to blame for the fact that he was not part of Kate and Oliver’s lives as growing up. In fact, he claimed that he tried to be close to his two children, but his former wife, Goldie Hawn, was the one who poisoned the two.
“I believe the drip, drip, drip of poison which started when they were kids finally took hold,” Bill claimed. “Goldie wanted to create this myth of a perfect family with Kurt [Russell] and she wanted me out. … She gave interviews about her ‘wonderful’ relationship with Kurt and how the kids called him ‘Pa.’ She described me as an absent father. I’d call her and go, ‘Goldie, how can you say that?’ but she’d just reply: ‘It’s a better story.'”
Well, the truth is that Oliver and Kate have always considered Kurt to be their father. In fact, they showed that once again on Father’s Day, when they posted pictures with the actor on social media.
Following this, Bill claimed that he does not want to “see either of my eldest children ever again.”
