Joan Rivers remains in hospital in critical condition. The 81 years old comedian and television host will remain in the New York hospital seriously ill, her daughter claimed.
Reports revealed that Joan Rivers stopped breathing while undergoing a medical procedure on Thursday. This happened at a clinic in New York. The star was immediately transported to the hospital. “Her condition remains serious, but she is receiving the best treatment and care possible,” her daughter Melissa Rivers said in a statement. “We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts as we pray for her recovery,” the same statement added.
Naturally, due to this health problem, Joan Rivers’ team had to cancel the performance she was set to hold at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, New Jersey. A series of famous actors posted messages on their social media pages to support Joan and her family. Charlie Seen and Jesse Tyler Ferguson are just two of them.
“Please come back to us young lady,” Charlie Sheen said. “Sending all my love and prayers to my friend @Joan_Rivers right now,” Ferguson shared on his page. “To my dear friend @Joan_Rivers – I have known you forever. I wish you nothing but the best in this struggling time. Go get ’em girl,” Larry King shared. Ellen DeGeneres also posted a support message. “I’m thinking about you, @Joan_Rivers, and sending lots of love your way,” the famous television show host posted on social media.
Melissa has already responded to the support messages that she and her mom received. “My mother would be so touched by the tributes and prayers that we have received from around the world,” she said thanking everyone for their great support and love. “I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming love and support for my mother. She is resting comfortably and is with our family,” Melissa also said.
Some sources reveal that Joan Rivers is stable now. Hopefully, with the best care she receives, Joan will be able to improve her condition soon and will be once again on the stage to entertain her audience and fans in her amazing shows.
