Christina Crawford, Joan Crawford’s daughter, reveals to the press that she recently discovered some nude movies that her mother and her lover made. The movies are not all nude. According to her statement, they also include shooting from hunting and fishing trips they went together, The Huffington Post reports.
Famous actress of the 300s, 40s and 50s, Joan Crawford, was not a good girl! Not by far! About a year ago, her daughter, Christina Crawford, discovered a series of home movies of the Hollywood glamorous star. The movies illustrate her secret romance with married lover, Charles McGabe. Crawford talked to Rob Shuter from Huffington Post and revealed to him that she is in possession of such materials. She also explained that she did not know of their existence until soon. “I remembered her telling me about her married lover, Charles McCabe”, she admits. “However, I never saw photos of him till the home movies, when they were hunting, fishing and canoeing in the Poconos”.
Christina Crawford, 72, is the author of two books about Joan Crawford: “ Mommie Dearest” and “Survivor”. More specifically, the books tell the story of the tensed relationship that she and her mother had throughout the years. “Mommie Dearest” was published a year and a half after Joan Crawford’s death and it soon became a best seller. Friends of the actress, including Marlene Dietrich, Myrna Loy and Ann Blyth denied the abuse described in the book. The youngest children of the actress, Cynthia and Cathy, also stated it wasn’t true.
Joan Crawford’s older children, daughter Christina and son Christopher were not mentioned in the will of the actress, when read, following her death. Of her 2 million dollar fortune at the time (1977), she left each of her younger daughters 77,000 dollars. “It is my intention to make no provision herein for my son Christopher or my daughter Christina for reasons which are well known to them”, the will said.
