JWoww and Snooki aren’t the only “Jersey Shore” stars that got a second chance to shine for a second time. “Jersey Shore” Vinny got his own MTV spinoff: a talk show.
If you watched at least one episode of “Jersey Shore” then you know the cast had a very interesting view on life. MTV has Vinny of “Jersey Shore” return in a new talk show. “The Show With Vinny” will feature chats (hardly interviews) with all kinds of celebrities in the Guadagnino Staten Island, New York.
MTV calls the Vinny talk show/reality series “groundbreaking”, the kind that “will mix the reality of Guadagnino’s home life with off-the-cuff and unscripted interviews with some of Hollywood’s finest”. It will also be a chance for Vinny’s big family to shine, since “some of the most beloved members” will throw “in their two cents”.
“Vinny’s unique mix of humor, intelligence, curiosity and heart make him the perfect choice for this genre busting take on the interview format” explained MTV Executive Vice President of Programming and Head of Production Chris Linn. So “Jersey Shore” wasn’t the end of well… “Jersey Shore”.
“As the lives of the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast evolve, we are excited to explore new ground while still delivering the laughs and surprises that fans have come to expect from the franchise” Chris Linn’s statement reads.
As debated as it was, the reality show brought MTV just enough to consider another spinoff with another “Jersey Shore” star. Data puts “Jersey Shore” at the top of the cable programs ratings. For instance, the premiere of season 4 had 8.8 million total viewers.
While you’re waiting for “The Show With Vinny”, you can see him at the fundraising special this Thursday. “Restore the Shore” will run live November 15 at 11 p.m. from the Times Square MTV studio. Other “Jersey Shore” stars will join the event too.
“New Jersey, and especially Seaside, is just destroyed. I’ve never had anything like this happen to me” Vinny told MTV News after Sandy ravaged the state. “I know every business owner on the boardwalk personally, you know, and , like, they’re good people, they all are hard-working people” Vinny added.
