Jenny McCarthy made an unexpected confession during her Monday night interview with Howard Stern. The actress told the host that Jim Carrey has been completely ignoring her autistic son since the two broke up in 2010.
Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey were involved in a romantic relationship for more than five years. In 2010, however, they decided to part ways. Although the actress does not regret the separation, she thinks her 10-year-old son, Evan, might have been very affected by the breakup. The boy is constantly asking about Jim Carrey, but the 50-year-old actor has been ignoring him ever since.
McCarthy stated that Evan constantly asks her when will he be able to see Jim again, but she is unable to give him an answer. The 39-year-old model has indirectly asked Carrey to pay the child a visit once in a while, but he didn’t respond to her requests.
Speaking about her relationship with the “Mr. Popper’s Penguins” star, Jenny admits that it is better that they decided to separate because they didn’t have anything in common. Nevertheless, she wished the breakup hadn’t affected her son who is in therapy at present. She tries to calm him down by telling him that the two will meet again someday, but Evan finds it hard to believe her.
Hearing Jenny speak made Stern observe that Jerry is a “dark guy”. The actress didn’t deny his remark; she concluded that people get wiser as they grow older and they start to realize things they never understood before. Luckily, time heals everything and the actress eventually got happier. Her state of happiness is partially determined by her new relationship with Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher.
The relationship has been recently confirmed by the actress’ reps. The two were also spotted together in April when they had dinner at Giuliana and Bill Rancic’s Italian restaurant in Chicago. When she was asked about it, McCarthy confirmed that she is indeed dating Urlacher and that she will support the Bears team from now on.
