Jane Lynch and Lara Embry have separated and soon their divorce will be finalized. It seems that the former couple could no longer make things work, so their relationship ended after four years of marriage.
The former couple’s divorce was approved by a judge on Monday. Apparently, the couple reached an agreement and Lara Embry will receive half of Lynch’s royalties. This includes the sums she made from various entertainment projects, including her work at the highly successful television series Glee.
During a recent interview, Lynch claimed that being married has actually been something amazing for her. Moreover, from her statements, the star showed that she and her former life partner actually are still in good terms. She explained that she and Jane Lynch actually felt the need to move on with their lives and this is exactly what they have done.
“It’s just two people who just decide it’s better to go apart than stay together,” the star claimed. TMZ reported that Embry will receive $1.2 million over two years per the statement.
Jane Lynch and Lara Embry wedded in 2010 in Massachusetts. The met a year before making the big step, at an event. The couple had an intimate wedding, with just 20 guests. They filed the divorce papers in July 2013. They cited as the reason for this separation irreconcilable differences.
“Lara and I have decided to end our marriage. This has been a difficult decision for us as we care very deeply about one another. We ask for privacy as we deal with this family matter,” a statement from Jane Lynch indicated. Lynch also claimed in various occasions that he wants to remain close friends with her ex. And it seems that the two have managed to achieve this purpose, still being in good terms.
Jane Lynch is well known for her acting roles. Naturally, the 54 year old star is best known for her performance in Glee, where she plays the role of Sue Sylvester. This role has also brought the star two Emmy Awards. On the other hand, Lara Embry is a clinical psychologist.
