James Van Der Beek - A Dedicated Father

James Van Der Beek and his wife, Kimberly, welcomed their second child in March and the actor is now a dedicated and very busy father, according to People magazine. The 35-year-old star confesses that he finds it very hard to take care of his newborn baby Joshua and promote his new sitcom “Don’t Trust The B--- In Apartment 23”.

James Van Der Beek has become a father for the second time. His baby, Joshua, brought a lot of joy to the actor and his wife Kimberley; however, the two are having hard times adapting their work routines with the needs of their two children. James told reporters that he used to have more spare time when he had one child, but now he barely gets the chance to take care of himself.

Despite this, the actor likes to be a father more than anything in the world, so he doesn’t mind having a busy schedule. He further added that it is the best feeling he has ever experienced. In fact, the 35-year-old star managed to identify distinctive personality traits with his children the first time he saw them.

The former “Dawson’s Creek” star was surprised to see how different children are even when they are very small. He noticed that they are born with unique personalities and that is, in his opinion, a miracle. His small son, Joshua, is going to be a thinker, the actor concluded after carefully analyzing him during his first day.

Although James has improved his career lately, he would not recommend his children to follow in his footsteps. He stated that there is no part of him that would want the young ones to take up acting at a professional level. Meanwhile, the actor will encourage his children to explore all sorts of activities when they are young, so they would know what is best for them.

“Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23” will premiere on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. The ABC sitcom is a twisted story of a small-town girl who comes to New York City to start a new life.
