Hugh Jackman is without a doubt one of the most famous actors at the moment. However, it seems that the star is banned from taking certain projects, such as one that involves Angelina Jolie. It has recently been revealed that Hugh’s wife had actually banned him from working with Brad Pitt’s famous wife.
Deborra-Lee Furness, Hugh’s wife, made this revelation during an interview on the Today Show. She claimed that her husband is not “allowed to work with Angelina.” However, she later added that she was just kidding, but maybe there is some truth in her words. Deborra-Lee also hurried to add that “I’m sure she’s lovely,” referring to Angelina.
Deborra-Lee and Hugh Jackman have been a happy couple for several years. The pair revealed during this recent interview that the secret to their long lasting romance is compatibility. The comments were made now as the celebrity world was shaken by the divorce of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. And other famous, long-lasting marriages seem to be close to an end.
“That’s the deal with this business. If you get it right, if you pick the right partner, then, you traverse all those travails and challenges,” Deborra-Lee said. Hugh, who was also present during the interview, claimed that his wife actually set an important rule, which makes the marriage work. “Deb had a rule, never apart for more than two weeks. Deb had been on enough sets to see the pitfalls,” the actor said. “It was my first job when we met, I didn’t know anything else but we’ve never been apart for more than two weeks. We’ve managed to keep that,” Jackman added.
Deb also went on to add that not only that they want to respect this rule, but they definitely don’t want to be apart for long. “He tells really good jokes, I mean I miss him,” she said.
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness wedded back in 1996. So, the two have been married for about 20 years. After struggling to have a child together, the pair adopted two children.
