Honor is Huawei’s model line that is also available in Europe. The company has come today with a new release and it is called Honor 6 Plus. This 5.5-inch Android device has a full HD display, a quirky dual 8-megapixel camera and an octa-core processor. These specs are enough for people who are looking for everything use, like using social networks and Netflix. The true attraction of this phone is its affordable cost, meaning that it will be available on the market at a low price.
To be mentioned that the Honor 6 Plus has been on sale since December 2014 in China. Until now, in Europe, only the flagship P8 was available, which was launched in London in April.
Is there a big difference between them? Not much. Ignoring the Honor branding, the phone comes with the same Emotion user interface. Customers can buy the Honor 6 Plus in the UK, directly from Amazon at the price of 300 dollars, SIM-free. Also, the 6 Plus is the first of Honor’s phones that is available through a UK network. Its design is very similar with iPhone 4, with front and back black glass, and a metal-effect band running around the edge. However, compared with the iPhone, Honor’s band is plastic and not metal, meaning that is not very solid or having a premium feel.
However, due to its 5.5-inch display, this phone is significantly larger that the iPhone 4, and it is very comfortable to hold in hand or it can be easily placed into a pocket. Honor 6 Plus measures 150mm long and 75mm wide. This new device comes with 32GB storage, which is a very generous amount, considering that it is a budget phone. Several other cheaper phones feature a low storage, like 16GB or even 8GB of space. Honor 6 Plus also accepts microSD cards, so users can extend their memory for more music or videos.
The 5.5-inch screen has a full-HD 1,920×1,080-pixel resolution, meaning that it offers a pixel density of 400 pixels per inch. The Honor 6 Plus is available with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, meaning that it runs an old version of the software.
