HTC has released its latest budget phone, called Desire 626. Unfortunately, HTC hasn’t equipped this phone with powerful hardware, as it has a lower-performing processor and mediocre 8-megapixel rear camera. However, probably its main attraction point is the cheap price and astonishing design.
Even if it doesn’t have amazing hardware, the new HTC Desire 626 is one of the most attractive devices on the budget phone market.
This phone is available in six color choices and has a solid construction. Probably, HTC’s strategy was to release an inexpensive phone that has a great design and is meant for casual users who are in search of a low budget phone that is solid built.
As we know, this strategy is starting to be used by many other brands, especially by Chinese manufacturers. These companies, plus HTC, are willing to use lower and middle level devices to boost overall profits and sales. However, customers will probably enjoy more HTC Desire, due to its good construction and beautiful design. The new HTC Desire 626 is available at a price that starts under 200 dollars, meaning that it is a great deal for those who are not willing to pay more for a phone.
Unfortunately, this phone is not so attractive on the inside, compared to the outside. It has a humble hardware, but it can be used without a problem to browse the WEB or check emails. This phone is powered by 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 201 processor, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Moreover, it has a 2,000mAh battery and Bluetooth 4.1.
Now, an interesting fact is that all the midrange phones found on the market are using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with a 2GHz clock speed. Well, HTC Desire 626 is using a lower processor, meaning that all these midrange phone are faster.
As for battery life, the 2,000mAh battery will ensure users up to 7.5 hours of usage. To be added that this phone runs the recent Android 5.1, but it will not take long to update to the newest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
