Experts have given their point of view, but not many celebrities have actually come forward to give details of their pregnancy weight dropping diet. Mariah Carey, on the other hand, told Shape magazine how she got back in shape after giving birth to her twins.
When celebrities reach that moment when they want to have a baby, pregnancy makes their lives quite challenging, even more than it becomes for other career working moms. Taking the decision means knowing that immediately after giving birth they will have to undergo a gruesome diet and workout program to get their gorgeous bodies back in no time.
For some time it’s been an utter mystery how celebrity moms manage to look amazing in no time. We’ve assigned that to having the money, time and people to handle many of their problems and give them the time to focus on losing weight. Now, Mariah Carey explains exactly how she did in Shape magazine’s May issue.
“I used to be able to slim down just by exercising more, but that’s changed. Since having the babies, I realize that 90 percent of losing weight is my diet”. Even today she continues to work hard to get her body back in shape after the babies, and if the following don’t look challenging, be sure it’s an intense workout.
Mariah Carey revealed her daily workout regimen: “my workout routine is more about getting and staying toned. And for me, that means either taking hour-long walks a few times a week, or jumping in the pool three or four days a week” for 45 minutes of underwater exercises.
It took her about a year to truly get back in shape after baby, but the workout was surely successful. On April 30, 2011, Mariah Carey gave birth to two boys, Moroccan and Monroe. The birth and pregnancy weren’t exactly easy for Mariah Carey and after seeing her body struggling through it, the singer decided to focus more on her diet. She dropped about 40 pounds of water weight in the first week after birth alone, but she still had another 30 pounds to lose.
