Holiday Barbie 2011 from BarbieCollector, the official website of Mattel’s collectible dolls, is already sold out. Wearing an emerald green evening dress, with golden details and shiny long elegant earrings, the collectible doll priced at about 40 dollars is no longer available from Mattel.
Bad news for the Barbie collectors: the 2011 Holiday Barbie, which could be ordered directly from the Mattel Company through BarbieCollector is not available anymore. The doll was released on August 1st 2011 and by Thanksgiving collectors have ordered every single one.
Designed by Robert Best, who can proud with a long collaboration with Mattel in creating true works of art for the Barbie collector worldwide, the 2011 Holiday Barbie is a true jewel. Best created the strapless green and gold gown, which “features a chic sash over one shoulder while golden embroidery adds an opulent touch”, as described on the collectors’ website. As all collectible dolls, this one has her nails polished. The color of the nails is a gorgeous festive red, which completes the winter holidays set of colors.
Created for ages 6 and up, it is the perfect gift for women who love sophisticated gifts and have a passion for dolls. Don’t try buying it for kids, though, if they intend to play with it. You can find cheaper Barbie dolls for play, which have easier manageable bodies and hair.
If you are impressed by the beauty of Holiday Barbie of 2011, you can still buy it on Amazon, at the same price. You can choose from the Caucasian or the African-American version, which is priced at about 55 dollars. Or you can pick them both.
