Miley Cyrus was recently spotted in company of a young man and rumors related to a possible affair have immediately surfaced. The singer was quick to respond and she told Us Weekly reporters that she never cheated on her fiancé, Liam Hemsworth.
After announcing her engagement with actor Liam Hemsworth last week, Miley Cyrus was spotted in company of another man at a pool in Miami. Bad mouths have immediately started to criticize her saying that she is having an affair, but the singer reminded everyone that being engaged or married doesn’t mean you are not allowed to have male pals anymore.
The singer took to her Twitter account to clear things out. She asked her followers if they think a woman is supposed to give up all her opposite sex friends because she got engaged. Without waiting for a response, Cyrus went on to say that the boy who was photographed with her in the pool is one of her friends. He was only helping her as she had to work “alllll day”. The singer concluded the message with the hashtag “#dump” to express her anger and discontent with the recent rumors.
The man in the pictures was later on identified as Cheyne Thomas, Cyrus’ old friend and part-time assistant. This is not the first time the two have been photographed together; however, the fact that Miley is now engaged makes her more vulnerable to cheating rumors.
Miley’s mom was equally upset about the story. She wrote on her Twitter account that she is disgusted by the stories that tabloids have to make up in order to sell their magazines. She wished people would leave Miley and her fiancé alone, so they could be happy. Miley commented on her mother’s post saying that she is in love with Liam and this is all that matters.
Her assistant Cheyne could not escape his chance of becoming famous, so he explained his 46,000 followers that he thinks two people of opposite sex should be able to hang out as friends. Those who find this behavior strange,” should reevaluate [their] friendships,” was Cheyne’s last declaration.
